About the Expo
The Africa Business and Investment Expo (ABIE) is a premier annual international platform that brings together government leaders, investors, business executives, policymakers, entrepreneurs, development finance institutions, multilateral organizations, innovators, and industry experts to accelerate trade, investment, industrialization, and sustainable economic development across Africa.

2022 - Inaugural Edition
Theme: Enabling Transformation in the Digital Economy
The maiden edition of AIDCA brought together distinguished government officials, traditional rulers, diplomats, business leaders, and development partners to discuss Africa's digital transformation and economic future. Notable participants included former Ghanaian President H.E. John Dramani Mahama (represented by Hon. Hannah Bissiw), Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III, Emir of Zazzau, His Highness Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, UN Resident Coordinator, Matthias Schmale, Immediate past Chief of Naval Statff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo (Rtd.), the former Group Chief executive officer (GCEO) of the Nigerian National Petroleum company limited (NNPC Limited) , Mr. Mele Kyari.
2023 - International Women's Leadership Edition
To commemorate International Women's Day, AIDCA hosted a high-level leadership dinner focused on advancing gender equity, women's leadership, and corporate inclusion. Held at Wells Carlton Hotel, Abuja, the event featured keynote speakers including Her Royal Highness Olori Atuwatse III, Queen Consort of Warri Kingdom; Her Excellency Arc. Yemisi Suswam (Ph.D.), Former First lady of Benue State, Ahmed Dahiru Modibbo, MD.CEO Highland Integrated Electricity Services Limited and Hajia Saadiya Aminu, MD/CEO Urban Shelter Ltd amongst others, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue on women's economic empowerment and leadership.
2024 - Middle East Investors Expo
The 2024 edition expanded AIDCA's international investment agenda through the landmark Nigeria–Middle East Investors Expo, bringing together investors, policymakers, government officials, development institutions, and business leaders from Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. The event featured more than 300 thought leaders across multiple stages, with high-level discussions on infrastructure, energy, agriculture, mining, healthcare, real estate, manufacturing, financial services, technology, and industrial development.
Distinguished speakers included Dr. Dele Alake, Honourable Minister of Solid Minerals Development; Senator Abubakar Kyari, Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security; Dr. Allen Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace; Hassan Imam, Managing Director of Keystone Bank; Maher Al Kaabi, Member of the UAE Circular Economy Council; and Romain Ekoto, Chief Aviation Officer at the African Development Bank (AfDB), fostering strategic dialogue on investment, regional cooperation, and cross-border partnerships.
2025 – Women Leadership and Empowerment Expo
Theme: Accelerating Action for Gender Equity and Women Empowerment The 2025 edition focused on advancing women's leadership, entrepreneurship, and resilience. Sessions explored business development, self-care, mindfulness, and inclusive leadership. Featured speakers included Dr. Ibukun Adebayo-Adedayo, H.E. Yemisi Suswam, Ms. Ameera Abraham, Mrs. Linda Turner, Aisha Falke, and Barr. Maimuna Yaya, reinforcing AIDCA's commitment to empowering women as drivers of economic growth and sustainable development across Africa.
African Industrial and Development Awards
The African Industrial Conference and Awards (AIDCA) celebrate excellence, innovation, and transformative leadership across Africa.
